In Isaiah 7 and 9, the prophet reveals that the son born of a virgin and given by God to the world as their King would have the name Prince of Peace. He would establish a Kingdom that would be marked by ever-increasing "shalom." Matthew reveals this King to be Jesus, and Paul later reveals that Jesus Himself is our peace. When Jesus comes into our lives he brings peace with God, peace within, peace with one another, and peace on earth.
